Privacy & Cookies.

Last updated November 1, 2026

Brown Notary respects the privacy of people requesting information or appointments. This notice explains the information submitted through this website and how it is used.

Information you choose to provide

An appointment request may include your name, phone number, email address, appointment city or location, requested service, preferred date and time, and notes you choose to add. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account information, identification numbers, medical details, or copies of documents through this website.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to your inquiry, estimate travel and service needs, provide a quote, and arrange or confirm an appointment. An appointment request is not confirmed until Brown Notary responds.

How a request is delivered

The website prepares an email draft that you must send in your own email application. If the business owner enables direct delivery, the request instead goes through Formspree to the owner’s configured recipient. The form makes the delivery method clear before submission. Your email provider and, when enabled, Formspree process information under their own privacy practices. Drafts remain in the current browser page until you send or copy them, reload, or leave. The site does not save drafts to browser storage. Web hosts may record ordinary request logs such as IP addresses. The website does not ask for payment information.

Optional appointment notifications and local review

Separate unchecked choices record your preference for transactional SMS or WhatsApp appointment updates. They do not authorize marketing. Consent wording/version, selected channels and submission time accompany your request. Reply STOP or contact the owner to withdraw consent. Automated providers are not connected in this review build.

When this site is explicitly served by the local owner workspace, its submit button says “Save request on this Mac.” Requests are then stored in the owner's private local data folder, outside the public website. They are not emailed or messaged. The owner can review the request and related financial records. The standalone site retains the email/Formspree behavior described above.

Map and payments

The service-area map loads from OpenStreetMap, which receives ordinary browser requests under its privacy practices. It shows central Missouri, does not locate you and does not calculate travel distance or ETA. Payment processing is not activated. Recipient instructions and financial records must be confirmed by the owner; this website does not collect card details.

Cookies, hosting monitoring, and browser controls

The appointment code does not set cookies or save draft details in localStorage or sessionStorage. This does not mean the hosted website is cookie-free. The current GoDaddy-hosted pages include a host-injected monitoring script from img1.wsimg.com. The embedded OpenStreetMap map and hosting services receive browser requests and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. The exact cookie inventory, retention periods, and host monitoring settings have not yet been fully verified.

This notice is informational: it is not a cookie-consent tool and does not switch off host or third-party tracking. You can block or delete cookies and restrict third-party requests in your browser; external maps or other features may then be unavailable. A browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting may be sent to providers, but the present site does not implement a verified sitewide preference mechanism. Before any optional tracking requiring consent is enabled, appropriate prior controls must be in place. Reading this notice is not consent to optional tracking.

Brown Notary’s appointment code contains no advertising network or data-sale feature. We have not verified every host-provider use of monitoring data and do not represent this site as certified compliant with all California privacy requirements. Questions about host monitoring or requests to limit use of your information can be sent to michael@brownmobilenotary.com.

Privacy choices and requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of appointment information, or to withdraw optional communication preferences. We may need proportionate verification and may retain records required by notary law or other legal obligations. Do not send identification documents in an initial request. Mandatory rights, applicable response periods, authorized-agent rights, and non-discrimination protections under laws that apply to you are preserved. This notice does not determine whether the CCPA or another state privacy law applies to the business, and it does not waive any right.

Retention and sharing

Request information should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for scheduling, customer service, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. It should not be sold. It may be shared with a service provider only as needed to operate communications or appointment delivery, or when required by law.

Notary records

Notarial records are separate from appointment requests. This website does not act as a notarial journal; any required records are handled by the notary during the appointment.

Questions or requests

Use the phone number or email shown on the Brown Notary contact section to ask a privacy question or request correction or deletion of appointment-request information, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.
